The VP of Business Development is responsible and accountable for the strategic planning, contracting, marketing and advertising, business development, communications, and relationship management for Advantus Health Partners.This includes developing pricing strategies and promotion of the brand image for AHP with a targeted deployment strategy.  The business development leader will continually develop and optimize the offering and pricing strategy to optimize the financial viability of AHP.In addition to customer and client development, this leader will also assess and lead our investment and partnership strategy for alignment solutions in services and products.

Essential Functions

  • Builds and manages relationships with trusted partner executive leaders in designing optimization strategies and targeted end to end supply chain continuum initiatives

  • Develops, leads, and monitors potential partnerships and works with relevant stakeholders to lead strategic expense management operations plans targeted to achieve business goals.

  • Account executive for joint business ventures that utilize AHP service offerings. :  AHP portfolio management, RFP process management, high-level financial analysis, deal negotiations, oversight of valuation process, JV partnership and affiliations discussions, partnership management. 

  • Sets direction and oversees the sales team for AHP.

  • Develops strategy for growing the AHP portfolio, identifying opportunities, including JV partnerships, affiliations, and other investment scenarios.


  • Bachelors degree in Healthcare, Marketing, or related field

  • 10+ years in related experience including 3 years as a client account representative with a proven track record of client satisfaction

  • Knowledge of compliance requirements

  • operations leadership with results in operational improvement

  • Knowledge and experience with general contracting principles

  • Masters degree in Business or related field
