Director, Sales - Conduit Health Partners

The Sales Director develops and leads successful recruitment of new external clients for Conduit Health Partners.  The Director will determine viable client qualifications, build market-development strategies, assess market opportunities, prepare and present RFP responses and all sales and marketing (print and virtual) collateral.  The Director will develop sales and fee-for-service strategies in coordination with Conduit Health Partner operational and strategic leaders, to achieve client recruitment goals.  The Sales Director drives both Enterprise and small business sales on behalf of all Conduit Health Partners services and solutions.  Utilizing a deep understanding of complex enterprise sales cycles in the healthcare system environment, the sales Director collaborates with CHP operational and strategic leaders to develop customized solutions to meet client needs.  The Sales Director is responsible for navigating the sales cycle from discovery through deal close for both complex and transactional sales.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assess market and develop sales and business development strategies to meet targets for growth and recruitment.
  • Develop, prepare and present proposals, RFIs, RFPs, ROI analyses and pricing benchmarks.
  • Collaborates with CHP account management to nurture relationships with large customers to identify, promote and close business development opportunities with established clients.
  • Maintains deep understanding of CHP products and services and provides strategic guidance to determine target market, customer needs, and strategic pricing.  Compile market research data on prospective members.
  • Works with CHP leadership to create pricing strategies for multiple solutions, and serves as the technical sales expert to negotiate complex sales.
  • Possesses key local market knowledge across the BSMH footprint while also pursuing expansion outside the established geographic footprint.
  • Networks within industry specific professional organizations (i.e. ACHE, HIMSS, MGMA) to develop relationships, understand industry trends, and identify high opportunity customers. 
  • Utilizes key business data to strategically target high opportunity customers and demonstrate value of CHP products and services.
  • Nurtures existing key relationships and ensures the optimal use and utilization of the ministry’s facilities with the partnering companies
  • Serves as a resource for external companies and internal resources by answering questions and providing information about CHP and BSMH resources
  • Maintains detailed documentation of all external sales interactions and opportunities.  Produces pipeline/opportunity reporting for regular review with CHP leadership team.
  • Collaborates with CHP leadership to host and facilitate customer forums and education events, and shares after action review with the CHP team
  • Achieve or exceed all sales targets, member recruitment goals, and revenue goals.
  • Develops and is able to communicate a deep understanding of all services provided by Bon Secours Mercy Health

Employment Qualifications

  • Required Minimum Education: BA/BS. Masters in Business, Sales, Marketing preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years selling healthcare related service  offerings
  • 10+ years experience in healthcare related business development, sales, outreach, or customer service.  Financial modeling, lead generation, proposals, presentations, RFI/RFP development and presentation to senior leadership and executives.
  • Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
  • Basic database skills (MSExcel), Word and Salesforce
  • Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry; sales experience, customer service experience
