RETAIN Research Coordinator

Responsible for recruiting patients into the RETAIN research study, documenting patient information in the medical record, and accurate record keeping within a secured database. Communicates with team members to set appointments with patients and HSC’s to discuss enrollment into RETAIN program.  Assists other coordinators in patient recruitment and outreach. Accurately reports upon results and metrics.

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for setting appointments with patients to schedule enrollment in the RETAIN program.

Travels to multiple offices and other required RETAIN locations as needed for the RETAIN program.

Distributes RETAIN material and information regarding the program.

Responsible for assisting in creating materials to enhance patient enrollment/recruitment.

Tracks eligible versus non-eligible patients by asking specific questions to determine eligibility.

Recruits participants via telephone encounters and reviewing criteria eligibility on the approved RETAIN phone script.

Responsible for recruitment of the participant and distributing informed consent materials within recruitment packet, coordinating follow-up enrollment calls with the assigned Health Services Coordinator.

Assists the Health Services Coordinator in the care coordination among providers, staff, and employers to improve clinical outcomes.

Answers any relevant participant calls that are routed to the RETAIN office or the coordinator’s work phone.

Collects and organizes data which monitors the effectiveness of the RETAIN health care delivery system.

Receives and reviews standard reports with other RETAIN team members to continue to improve the program’s efficiencies and promote success.

Participates in performance improvement activities and contributes to program development to facilitate accomplishment of departmental goals

Education Qualifications

Required Minimum Education:

Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience



Preferred Education

Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience


Communication/Marketing /Business/Allied Health/Public Health/Social Work

Will consider combination of post-secondary education and experience in lieu of a degree.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Years and Type of Experience

Three (3) years of relevant experience working in telecommunications, telemarketing, or sales.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Experience working with data collection, cold calling or sales marketing.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred

Hard working, highly motivated individual with great social skills who are not afraid of talking over the phone.
