Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Actions Speak Louder than Words It isn't enough to just talk about diversifying our team, company and community. Change requires action and we support the diverse needs of our employees.
Here's what we're doing to make progress.

Resources for All

Career Development We support the career development of underrepresented associates by providing targeted leadership development programs, support, tools and guidance to enable growth in their careers with us.
Language Services Bon Secours Mercy Health offers free language services assistance to our associates as they navigate work processes with us.
Events and Programs Each year, Bon Secours Mercy Health invites professionals from around the country to gather, engage and learn about diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives as well as best practices. We believe open dialogue and communication is key to fostering change.

Our Commitment to Community

Bon Secours Mercy Health is dedicated to the anchor mission philosophy by committing financial resources to the communities we serve.
In 2019, Bon Secours Mercy Health joined the Healthcare Anchor Network, a coalition of 70+ healthcare systems, to reaffirm our mission to serve the poor, dying and underserved people in the most marginalized corners of society.
As part of this collaboration, we work with community partners to achieve healthy equity by supporting employment, business development and economic growth in underserved areas.
The anchor mission philosophy strategically allocates human and financial resources to three pillars.
First Pillar
Inclusive Local Hiring: We represent the local communities we serve at all levels within the ministry.
Second Pillar
Inclusive Local Purchasing:

We support local women and minority-owned businesses (WMOB) in our supply chain.
Third Pillar
Place-Based Investing: We make direct institutional and project-based investments in the communities we serve.
