CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER - ADVANTUS HEALTH PARTNERS | Work From Home/Remote

The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for all clinical engagement strategies and leadership, growth, and operational oversight of clinical transformation processes and innovations within Advantus Health Partners, with a specific focus on standardization and alignment, balanced with quality outcomes. Serves as primary clinical liaison between AHP and clients and leads all clinical discussions at the Board level.

Essential Functions

  • Utilizes a blend of strategic and operational leadership.

  • Leads the development and implementation of clinical programs and services in partner groups.

  • Serves as an influencer, consultant, and advisor on clinical quality questions and matters arising from clients or potential clients with a focus on process engineering and value generation.

  • Develops and ensures sound execution, measurement, and accountability of the playbook for the clinical transformation model.

  • Has a keen understanding of all regulations governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies, by continually monitoring the operations of the hospital(s) and proposing changes when required

  • Design, lead and bring forth recommendations to develop new or optimize clinical services in order to promote best practice, regulatory compliance, and stewardship aligning with the mission and vision of Advantus Health Partners and the parent organization

  • Review and provide approval for the use of clinical decision support tools, policies, and guidelines as applicable.

REQUIRED:

  • MD Required and preferred in General Surgery

  • Active Medical License

  • 10+ years in related experience including 5-7 years in a healthcare leadership role with significant business impact

  • Knowledge of compliance requirements

  • Operations leadership with results in operational improvement
